Bought this over 3 weeks ago based on the comments, and the fact that having a yogurt every day is way more expensive. I have IBS (C) and suffer from constant gas and bloating. Unfortunately I havent noted any improvement in my condition whatsoever. However, my twin sister had a yeast infection and decided to take a few capsules...she was very impressed that it helped. Ive subsequently ordered the Accuflora-controlled probiotic acidophilus, which based on the comments is more suited for IBS sufferers. I clearly ordered the incorrect ones, but will continue to take these, at least until the new set arrive, and because probiotics are good for you, especially if youve taken a regiment of medication as I have over the years.

I have suffered from digestive issues since childhood. After recognizing an intolerance to lactose and soy, and eliminating them from my diet, my health issues improved... for a while. I have had irregular movements since I can remember, and though this issue improves greatly after a colon cleanse, it relapses after a few months. Many years ago I consulted a Naturopathic Medical Practioner who recommended I take a pro-biotic. I forgot about this advice until recently, when I had become fed-up with constipation.
AccuFlora is an inexpensive savior for those of us with digestive issues. Since taking it every day, I have noticed a marked improvement in my overall well-being - from a complete lack of gas (and gas-pain) to regular movements to heightened immunity to common illnesses (I seem to be avoiding office colds and coughs..!). I indulge in a little dairy at the holidays (cheese is my weakness and Ill also allow myself to eat small amounts of dishes with butter or milk as an ingredient) and usually I suffer heavily from my holiday eating choices... This year has been different! It only took me a couple of days, as opposed to a week or two to get back on track. I definitely recommend the use of pro-biotics - death is said to begin in the colon, and I intend to keep mine as healthy and functioning as possible with the use of products such as this one.

Pro-biotic was suggested by my doctor. AccuFlora is about a third as expensive as the acidophilus offered at my clinics pharmacy, but takes two pills instead of one. I think I feel better and more balanced.

These caplets contain only 0.5 billion bacteria, which isnt very much compared to something like Complete Probiotics, which has 60 billion bacteria per caplet. Thats 120 times less effective. But, theyre also 12 times cheaper, so the question is: how much is enough?

Well, even this weak caplet has had an astonishing impact on my gas. If I take one in the morning, I have almost no problems all day. If I dont, it can be pretty bad. I tried Beano, which had almost no effect for me. This is much more effective.

The only problem is that the effect only lasts for one day. Every day I miss, its like I never took any. Im thinking about buying a more potent kind to see if it lasts for longer.

So, if you have problems with gas or digestion and Beano hasnt helped, try these. Theyre pretty cheap, so there isnt much to lose. If they dont work, try a more potent variety of probiotics.

I have found that this product is better than similar generic products. It is also very hard to find Pearls at GNC or local grocery/drug stores. I have also only seen the 90 pill count here at Amazon which is much more convenient and cost effective to buy here in bulk.

Ok Im a very skeptical person. I am always wary about product reviews and products (especially health products), but this is an exception. I have been suffering with IBS for about 6 years. Its gotten quite a bit better in the last couple years due to more fiber in my diet and other dietary changes, but I still had problems with bloating, especially at night. I would wake up at about 4 am with lots of gas and pain in my stomach and be unable to go back to sleep. It really affected my mood and my ability to study and concentrate (Im a dental student). After taking these pills though, my bloating has gone down considerably, Im sleeping much better and am in a much better mood. I know this sounds hard to believe and pretty cheesy, but these pills have changed my life for the better! If you have IBS, or have taken lots of antibiotics, try these out, they have helped me immensely!

I just read a report by Consumer Labs on probiotics, which included this product. Natrol BioBeads wasnt specifically evaluated, but since BioBeads and Pearls appear to offer the same technology, I compared the contents. According to the manufacturers, Pearls provides two types of bacteria, while BioBeads has four. Consumer Labs indicated that, in general, the broader the variety of flora a product provides, the better. Ironically, Consumer Labs also indicated that the types of bacteria in both products(strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium) can usually survive gastric acids and dont need a coating anyway.

I suffer from constipation and a friend highly recommended Pearls for me. At the beginning it started working pretty good. By the end of the second week, it was back to my constipated-state. Ive been taking it for four weeks already and so far, no change.

Ive been taking this about 2 weeks now, hoping it would help with my IBS (C), especially with the gas and bloating which can get pretty unbearable. Honestly, though I have yet to feel any relief so Im a bit disappointed because of the rave reviews. However, Im still giving it some time to work. If theres absolutely no real relief in the next month, then Ill just have to cancel my automatic 3-months renewal, and continue to get the other health benefits from regular yogurt:(

This is not as raw as the first, so fans of that record will not be pleased. However, I believe this a great transitional record. This is modern day West Coast psych with Allmanesquese Outlaws dual lead playing and funky driving organ.

Lead vocals are the weak point ala Robert Wyatt out of breathness, however harmonies are nice. Songcraft has improved over previous album, guitar playing is more focused which will not please some. The next album will show how important the move has been.

For those not familiar with the first album looking for something new to take a chance on try this, it is a screaming buy which may surprise.

Though they now have two guitars, bass, drums and keys/horns, at its heaviest Howlin Rain drops the boom of a power trio. Think Creams sonic punch, the heaviness of Mountain, the layers of Procol Harum, the overdriven blast of Vanilla Fudge, echoes of San Francisco Bay Area bands like Oxford Circle and Kak, and the folk/country influences of early Grateful Dead. Listeners may be momentarily fooled by the 54-second openers horn-led suggestion of film noir, but the albums first full track kicks in with a lengthy instrumental of raging drums, organ and squalling psych guitar leads. Even the quieter breakdowns are often only short breathers from the full-on attack, with vocals from Ethan Miller (also of Comets on Fire) that alternate between raggedly hollered and moments of Jack Bruce-like tenor. There are a few moments, such the soulful "Nomads" and "El Rey," that are almost tranquil (at least, in comparison to the full-on jams), with the guitars giving way to bass, drums and electric piano before returning for hypnotic solos. The closing "Riverboat" is actually folky and pastoral, in an electric sense. Throughout the CD Garett Goddard (drums) and Ian Gradek (bass) provide the sort of musicality that leaves Millers guitar free to fly. The instrumental stretches, even when thickened by Mike Jacksons rhythm guitar and Joel Robinows organ, still feel elemental. The original trios sensibility (as heard on the their self-titled 2006 debut) is still here, but layered with new instrumental and production complexities. 2008 hyperbolium dot com

hard to believe that within two minutes I could hear TWO bands that are totally derivative of Thin Lizzy. Again, just get the Lizzy CDs - much better and actually original. (I havent got a clue which CD that other review listened to - it couldnt have been this)

There are some record enthusiasts that may say this band/record sounds like Thin Lizzy...if you read that persons review, disregard the ignorant opinion. Maybe that reviewer is still living his past who owns several albums by just one artist. That reviewer may have sounded less ignorant if he compared the band to a more subtle sounded artist such as, Grateful Dead or even Floyd. That reviewer failed to break down the band into each section (i.e. vocals, guitars, etc.) I own each Thin Lizzy album and must say, when you tell me when you hear Thin Lizzy from this album, you let me know so I can sell my 2000 record collection on eBay.
For now, this album has a retro feel from melodic interpretations of Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd, with the hard rock feel of Mountain and Vanilla Fudge(as the first reviewed stated) IF WE MUST COMPARE THIS BAND TO RETRO ARTISTS. I would rather state that this band is quite original sounding who puts great use to the organ, which we havent heard too much in new rock lately. The vocalist is raspy while melodic at the same time when speaking about harmony. If you are older, younger or just a record enthusiast like myself, this album is a MUST BUY....hence the 5 STAR RATING.

The sites were located in Tie Shan Ping (TSP) in Chongqing, Cai Jia Tang (CJT) in Hunan, Lei Gong Shan (LGS) and Liu Chong Guan (LCG) in Guizhou and Li Xi He (LXH) in Guangdong. The site characteristics are quite varied with TSP and LCG located relatively near big cites while the three others are situated in more regionally representative areas. The distances to urban centres are reflected in the air pollution concentrations, with annual average concentrations of SO"2 ranging from 0.5 to above 40@mgSm^-^3. Reduced nitrogen has a considerably higher concentration level than oxidised nitrogen, reflecting the high ammonia emissions from agriculture. As in air, the predominant ions in precipitation are sulphate, calcium and ammonium. The volume weighted annual concentration of sulphate ranges from about 70@meql^-^1 at the most rural site (LGS) to about 200@meql^-^1 at TSP and LCG. The calcium concentration ranges from 25 to 250@meql^-^1, while the total nitrogen concentration is between 30 and 150@meql^-^1; ammonium is generally twice as high as nitrate. I purchased this not because of acid reflux but because of allergies and the help a wedge pillow would be for my sinus problems at night (as in breathing!). It IS helpful. I do breathe better. But if you are a six foot or taller person, know that the pillow is a bit short. Ive been in touch with MedSlant and they dont seem to care. But if you are tall, the thin portion of the pillow really needs to be another three to four inches long (maybe it should come in two sizes?). If it were a bit longer the pillow would be great. As it is, its good.

Given the price, youd think they wouldnt begrude the little amount of additional foam and the few extra inches. A pity. Perhaps if one didnt use an additional pillow (as pictured in the Medslant ad) the pillow would be long enough. But the MedSlant pillow is quite firm. If you want any give, youll want to use your own top pillow.

Meanwhile, some have noted problems with the width of the pillow. I havent had any problems here. Its not generous, but it appears to be wide enough.

Bottom line, if your sinuses tend to clog when you lie down, and you have borderline "sleep apnea" problems, this pillow MAY help enough so you wont need to use a machine (as I recall they called it a C-pap or something similar)to get air. But the skimping on the lenth of the pillow keeps me from a glowing report. Still, it IS longer than the other pillows now available.

Lastly, if you buy the pillow be prepared for Amazon to assume you have acid reflux and start bombarding you with "deals" on books about it.

Not for those that turn a lot.

I bought this pillow for my recovery time after my hysterectomy, and I had tried it out a few nights before just to get a feel of it. Well, that night I ended up ditching about halfway through my sleep because it just wasnt comfortable enough, and the same goes for all of the nights following my surgery.
Im one that likes to toss and turn a lot, so having such a narrow platform to lay on just made me uneasy.
One way in which I put it to use, in which it worked quite well, was to use it in elevating my legs, but that makes for a very expensive leg pillow.

Other than that, Im sure that those whom can lie flat on their backs and sleep will enjoy it.

Pluses:
The pillow arrived on time, was packaged well (good carrying case), and was easy to understand how to use.

Minuses:
I tend to slide down the pillow through the night. It would be nice if the pillow-case might have been designed to promote less slippage. And, in general, snuggling is not possible.

This is a quality product and great for people that need to keep their heads high for reading, watching TV, or for medical reasons. Would suggest purchasing an extra zippered cover. Another plus, as far as Im concerned, is the pillow is odorless.

This product is amazing! I bought this item for my boyfriend to help alleviate his snoring. He has since been able to sleep through the night and feel fully rested in the morning for the first time in years! He constantly comments that it is one of the best gifts he has ever received and I feel the same way now that I am able to sleep through the night next to him!

After watching his frustration with other snore aid products, I bought this item and hoped it would help a bit. This product works better than any other more invasive remedy.

The 12X24X24 pillow is firm and keeps the user in a more upright position, lessening snoring. It can be rotated the other way to use as a leg rest too.

The product is a great value for the price compared to what the cost of surgery or any other more invasive remedy would cost.

The only negative is that I cannot find other color pillow covers.

I highly recommend this product.

This is great quality and very helpful with my acid reflux. The only down side is that it is extremely firm. I totally understand that it has to be firm to hold up to body weight...but,I am going to try to put a piece of memory foam inside the liner to see if that will help soften it some.

I purchased this for my father who is receiving hospice care. The foam is functional and reasonably priced so that we could afford to purchase without thinking twice about it. The washable cover comes with it. It is light and easy to store and quick to slip behind the shoulders and head for eating or drinking, taking pills and visiting.
The foam is firm so it is stable and supportive an additional bed pillow can be slipped between the user to soften if needed.
Could also be helpful while using a laptop during convalescence.

Theres no need to give this album an extensive review because it speaks for itself. Jenny Lewis can sing, play music, and also write creatively. Go out and buy this album. The recording is not too slick and its not cheap sounding at all. Great albums like this remind me of the reasons why I DONT listen to the radio.

Did no one connected with the production of this swill have the guts to take Jenny Lewis aside and suggest that she come back with some actual material? Were they blinded by their own hipness? Were they too stoned? This is lethargic, repetitive, self-indulgent twaddle. The two cuts worth even a passing listen ("Acid Tongue" and "Carpetbaggers") are really only B music. They wouldnt stand out in any lineup of well-written songs. I want my $12 and 20 minutes back.

The songwriting here is without peer and I simply cannot think of anyone, other than the late great Warren Zevon, who writes lyrics so eloquently and with such unfathomable depths of passion. I understand some long time fans have quibbled over the production on this record but that probably speaks of their own attachment to seeing Miss Lewis perform these songs live, which is another miracle that stands by itself, above criticism. Okay, everything every written in praise or criticism is subjective, but, if you switch the gender of the storyteller, the lyrics for "Acid Tongue", the title track, could be my life story: Im quite sure Im not the only one who feels this way. Jenny Lewis is the storyteller of our generation. Anyone who misses the genius at work here is missing the magical, delicious marrow of life itself.

My mom gave a used copy of it to me as a Christmas present a while ago, and later I got the albums that all of the tracks from this album are on. This title definitely lives up to its name in one sense. It primarily has his most popular recordings and with this album, you really do experience Hendrix. The real thing that I should mention is that this is the perfect Jimi Hendrix album to start out with.

This album begins with what is probably Hendrixs most well known song "Purple Haze," the song that got his start "Hey Joe," his one-hit-wonder by technicality/tribute to Bob Dylan "All Along the Watchtower," "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)," his classic performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner," and it even includes some of his posthumously released tracks put onto First Rays of the New Rising Sun.

Is this the only Jimi Hendrix album to get? NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! In fact, I personally prefer Jimi Hendrixs posthumously released live albums, such as Live at Berkley (The Second Set), Blue Wild Angel: Live at the Isle of Wight, and Live at Woodstock (not just the national anthem but the whole album).

Hendrix was a lot more than just the well-known songs. However, this is a great album to start out with, and its a great way to have Hendrix on a single disc. Its too bad I gave my copy away, which is why I put it on my wish list.

We loved this Jimmy Hendrix CD. We found some 8mm video tapes that my husband took while he was in Vietnam in the 70s. We sent the tapes off to have them put on a DVD and had them put the Jimmy Hendix cd as the background music. It turned out great !!! Brought back a lot of good and bad memories !!!! CD was worth every penny we paid for it !!!

There are older Jimi Hendrix collections out there, like Smash Hits - but dont bother with them. This is the one to get. Like most say, this one really packages the essential hits.

My only quibble about Hendrixs catalogue is that he came in an era where the audio recording technology available to him wasnt as sonically superb (only the Beatles would exceed all peers)...so its a little rough here and there but the mans brilliance shines through. Remastering has no doubt improved what was there, but it hasnt done wonders to enhance the mixes. Regardless, there was really only one Hendrix and his influence on those around him and those who came after was indelible. Experience Hendrix!

As a diehard Hendrix fan... like who isnt, I have to confess I felt that some of Jimis best songs are conspicuously missing from this album. For example, I can live without "Dolly Dagger" but not without "Spanish Castle Magic"! I wish they had consulted me first when picking songs... but, oh well, heavy sigh, they did not. Still, even with its organizational faults, Jimi still rocks.

This is a classic CD I carry it in my car at all times. I know I am in the universal flow when I turn on the radio and find myself catching the next Jimi song on the radio waves. (Its called hanging ten on the Tao.)

There are some things you simply cannot get enough of, and Jimi Hendrix is one of them. If you are not going to sit down and burn your own customized CD with your favorite Mr. Jimi songs, then get this album. It is the next best thing.

There is no questioning Hendrix and his influence on generations of musicians and guitar players and Are You Experienced is a definative records. From the opening riff of Purple Haze, the wonderful version of Hey Joe to the hauning Wind Cries Mary Hendrixs playing shines and still holds up after all this time.

Though there are many records released of Jimi, including some nice compilations/greatest hits, Are You Experienced, Electric Ladyland and Axis: Bold as Love are must haves.

Ive had this album since it was released on vinyl with the first 11 songs listed. Adding Stone Free and Red House makes it even better. I do want to plug Third Stone, which has become my fav from this album over the years. You gotta love his attitude. There is a story that Pete Townsend heard of Hendrix before any of his records were released. When Jimi was playing at a club in London, Pete rounded up Eric Clapton and said "You gotta see this guy." They sat in the back of the club while Jimi tore it up. They said to each other "Were done. Were history. We can never keep up with this guy."

so far ive used it on everything BUT cakes but it does its job, good quality handy i like the circle on top so i can fasten it to the dishwasher basket and its length is just perfect. no more underdone bundt cakes. and i like that unlike knives it really doesnt RUIN the testing area. no more burnt fingertips trying to tap hot baking goods.

Tired of the toothpick not being long enough or the butter knife that leaves an ugly slit/cut in your baked creation? If you are then this is the product for you. Sturdy finger grip and long stainless steel rod makes it so much easier to test for "done-ness". The only reason I give it four stars instead of 5 is because the rod can easily be bent if you apply to much pressure or just throw in a drawer with other utensils. For $2.00 its well worth it, and for that price everyone should have one.

Ive had my eye on this little gem for a while, and once my toothpick supply started to dwindle, I went ahead and ordered it. I am really glad I did because it seems like such a waste to use a toothpick one time, only to toss it in the trash.

This tester has a nice long length and I like the handle--You dont have to worry about it getting lost in a drawer. I know some people have mentioned that it is "too thin." It IS thin, but I think thats great. I have been known to get a little poke-happy with my cakes and bread in my attempts to achieve baking perfection, so I dont want them to look like theyve been stabbed repeatedly.

I bought this mouse because I thought that it was the best looking mouse on the market. I like its slim look and glossy black finish (minimal fingerprints are left behind). I was worried when I bought the mouse that the media controls on the bottom would not work in Ubuntu w/o the drivers (drivers supported are for Windows XP/Vista and Max OS 10.4). I have to say I was quite pleased to learned that all the functionality worked just by plugging the USB dongle.

The media controls on the bottom of the mouse work fine with Rythmbox...I am not sure about any other media player.

If you are on the Ubuntu desk top, using the scroll ball to the side will switch to alternate desktops...kinda cool.

If there was any one con I could think of, it would be that there is no 3rd mouse button, but that is fine for someone looking for a simple design.

I bought this mouse a couple of months ago. It does NOT have a middle mouse button (this was a big disappointment, I USE the middle mouse button, what were they thinking?). Other than that, the mouse worked, and worked well. Yes the scroll ball does scroll horizontal AND vertical, but it requires drivers to do the horizontal.
After a bit of time, the scroll ball started becoming intermittent. Eventually this annoyed me enough that I opened the mouse and discovered a dust bunny under the mouse ball. This mouse ball uses an optical pickup rather than rollers to detect motion. The optical pickup is (and must be) directly under the mouse ball. Unfortunately this means that every bit of dust that falls on the ball eventually gets carried inside and piles up on top of the lens of the optical pickup. They should have forgone the ball, and directly tracked the motion of your finger with the optical pickup through a layer of glass. Would have completely solved the dust problem.
Kensington has provided no means to clean the dust out of the track ball. It can only be done by disassembling the mouse. Disassembling the mouse requires a Torx screw driver, and a Philips screw driver to disassemble the track ball assembly.
It gets worse. Now after several months of not very intensive use, the left and right mouse buttons have become flaky. Sometimes they work on the first click, sometimes it takes 10 or more clicks for the mouse button to register.
This is an appalling performance for such an expensive mouse. I will be disconnecting it shortly and relegating it to my junk bin.

So, dont get me wrong, this is a great mouse and all, doubles as a remote control, usb connector is small and fits inside the mouse for great portability. I was a bit skeptical of the small scroller ball when I first used it. I thought it would be able to control horizontal scrolling in addition to vertical scrolling, after all it IS a ball. I was a bit disappointed when I found out it only scrolled up and down.

A month after I ordered it, the ball scroller intermittently worked. Sometimes it would scroll, sometimes not. A week later, the scroller stopped working altogether. I emailed Kensington and they immediately sent me a replacement. I used the replacement for about a month after which the same issue came up again...the scroller ball stopped working.

They are sending me another replacement but Im concerned about the environment and all the broken mice that I am throwing in the trash because of one little scroll ball problem. I really wish they could make it work better b/c aside from the scroller ball, this really is a nice mouse. Pretty good customer service, but they could have made this mouse better.

I enjoy using this toy. It is more fun than any other mouse Ive used because it allows me to navigate the pointer on a table top, on a leather sofa, or on my leg. Scrolling is at my fingertips from the trackball whether horizontally or vertically. The media controller provides remote control features for media players on the computer raise or decrease volume or select forward or backward to another song or chapter on a movie. All this from a few inches to 30ft. away. A great product for windows laptop or desktop.
The only reason for the four stars is that it creates a glitchy restart or startup with my Macbook Pro when the usb receiver is attached and this is par for kensington slimblade models from discussions with other MBP and slimblade owners. Other than that, its great.

I bought this mouse for 25 dollars from amazon on a deal...i think its been one of my best buy till date....Kensington really have lives upto their standards this time. The mouse has a very high laser reception which makes the cursor fly over your monitor. I am really impressed with it and esp the shape and size of the mouse. These are very well designed, nice sounding earbuds. They have a much richer sound that my Sony set, which surprised me. I do have a little trouble keeping them in my ears, as the soft, flexible ear pieces are supposed to mold to the shape of your ear but unfortunately they are VERY soft and dont hold tightly against the ear. This makes them very comfortable to wear for longer periods of time, but difficult to keep in place without a lot of fidgeting with them. Also, the cord is unusually long on these, and I have a tendence to catch it on things. Still, a great bargain for these, and you definitely wont be disappointed in their performance.

I have had a lot of ear buds. They have become one of those categories where there seems to be a lot of churn, but the result is better and better products. The sound on these things is very impressive. The bass is good and it sounds balanced, not tinny or thumping. The noise isolation is pretty impressive given that these are not over-ear. I have to Bose (had the prior gen too), and will probably use these instead from now on.

As many people have already stated these earbuds sound fantastic. In order to achieve the best possible sound you most definitely need to let them "break in" at a mid-upper volume level for at least 24 hours to allow the inner driver(s) to loosen up a bit. They will not sound great until you do this. Simply plug them into the audio device of your choice and allow them to play for a day or two. I have accumulated over 75 hours of listening time on these and they continue to sound better each time I listen to them. Their acoustic range is incredibly vast for such a small package and even listening to very bass heavy hip-hop and drum and bass music these earbuds never distort or sound "bottomed out" or "tinny". I did a lot of research when shopping for earbuds and couldnt be happier with my purchase. Nothing else under $100 even touches these. JLabs did an incredible job with this product and seem to be a top notch company both in terms of their products and customer service. Do yourself a favor and throw the crappy stock earbuds that came with your iPhone/iPod/MP3 device away and buy these, you will definitely be glad you did.

I just got these, let the "24 hour burn in period" occur, and I must say, they are alright.

Sound Quality:
The bass is weak. Im not even kidding. Spam that EQ bass booster youre going to need it, champ. In all other aspects, the sound quality is good stuff though. For rock and and the such, these deliver.

Noise Isolation:
Ehh I dont see whats so special about this noise isolation. I still tend to hear a lot around me...it really is the head under water effect that others have mentioned.

Look Durability:
These buds are sturdy, there is no cord noise feedback, and on top of it all, they look great.

Warning: It might take some time to get comfortable with wedging these in your ears...Im still in that process.

Overall, for a reasonably priced set of ear-buds, get them, you wont be disappointed.

These jbuds are very adequate for the price. Bass is a bit weak - those that came with the nano were a little deeper if held tightly in place, but since they didnt stay there.... These are comfortable and flexible with the optional pads. I can fashion a little plastic "clothes pin" to hold the right amount of cord outside my shirt pocket. Otherwise the full length gradually slips out. No hesitation in recommending them.

I bought this headset for $25.99 and for the people that are reviewing this product and bashing it then i suggest you spend more than 25 bucks on a peice of technology. You get what you pay for, but this little headset is perfect for the business person that doesnt like to throw the thing around and break the flimsy ear hook. This thing is extremely durable too. I have dropped it off of a two story building, washed and dried it in my washer and dryer twice, and stepped on it (all of this was accidental) and the thing works just as well as the day i bought it. My cell provider sells this model and when i broke my first ear hook a week after purchase they simply exchanged it for a new one. For the price this little headset is worth it. If its uncomfortable get a little creative. I took a lighter and heated the ear hook until flexible and molded it to my ear. It fits great, doesnt move, and since this is molded plastic the heat gave it a little more strength by making it harder. Its just what i was looking for and i would recommend it to anyone.

Jimi Hendrixs appearance at Woodstock may have been one of his most celebrated performances, as the producers of this DVD put it. But it would be a stretch to call it one of his greatest. By the time the guitarist finally took the stage, weather and endless logistical delays had pushed the show to Monday morning, a day after the festival was supposed to have ended. By then, the audience was too tired, hungry, wet, and stoned for Hendrixs set to be the expected apocalyptic finale. Hendrix himself was reportedly so wasted that he collapsed from exhaustion as soon as he left the stage.

Woodstock was the first gig by the Gypsy Sun and Rainbows band, a cross between the song-oriented focus of the original Experience (with drummer Mitch Mitchell) and the jam-happy Band of Gypsys (with bass player Billy Cox). Three other musicians, a rhythm guitarist and two percussionists, were on hand as well, but they are virtually inaudible in the audio mix and all but invisible in the film. Thats not all bad what we get instead are many close-ups of the guitarist at work, including shots of his enormous hands effortlessly navigating the frets and strings of his Stratocaster. And this is Jimi Hendrix were talking about here, still the greatest rock guitar player ever. So while some of the set--a combination of familiar hits ("Fire," "Purple Haze," "Red House"), newer material "(Izabella"), and several jams--is perfunctory, there are moments of brilliance, like the blazing white noise he musters up on "Voodoo Child." In the end, any footage of Jimi Hendrix is worth having, as there isnt all that much of it around. But from a strictly musical standpoint, theres plenty of better live Hendrix out there, including on the four-CD box set The Jimi Hendrix Experience. --Sam Graham

While the 2005 version has the complete concert, this 1999 version has its stereo soundtrack mastered at 448 kbps, while the 2005 stereo soundtrack is at 198 kbps. This results in that the 1999 one has more headroom and dynamic range and less compression then the 2005 version.

Hendrix really shows what a modest musical genious he was in this performance. You also see his perfectionist personality through his facial expressions of dissapointment, even after an amazing performance. I completely agree with the previous reviewers- where are the other several songs that he played??? And why the heck would they rearrange them???? I was really irked to find out that so many songs were left out. Another thing i do not like is the way they filmed only his face during a solo or major finger action. I would rather have seen his whole body, or at least his fingers. Anyways, all the songs are on an average Hendrix-scale great. The Star Spangled Banner, Purple Haze, and Woodstock Improvistion, which continues as a whole for nearly 20 minutes, is incredible, and as enjoyable to listen to as it is to see. This is definitely a dvd on my top Hendrix live performance list, i just do not like the format or the incompletion they used.

From what Ive read on the Experience Hendrix website, a new Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock DVD will soon be released (Sept 13th, 2005) which features more tracks, bonus material, and even a 2nd DVD containing black-and-white footage of the show filmed by a guy who was on the front row. My advice is: WAIT. Dont buy this version. Buy the Deluxe Edition that comes out in a month.

Im giving this 5 starts because its Hendrix.

It seemed like the first part of the concert Hendrix was struggling to get things going. But once he did, that was all she wrote!

I cant listen to his Star Spangled Banner without getting chills. In that moment, in that short piece of unexpected unrehersed music, Hendrix grabbed the whole of the USA by the neck, looked it in the eye and said "You broke your covenent with God, and your promise to your people!" Who else could have bore the weight of such a musical statement?

Permit me to share two personal anecdotes.

When I was 11 years old, I snuck into a theater to see Woodstock. I had little interest in the other performers (although I liked most of them very much). I was interested in Hendrix. When he finally appeared, I was overwhelmed by the power of his performance. It was beyond mere loud rock music. It was something akin to a religious experience. Now, 35 years later, Ive yet to recover.

I am a musician. Some years ago, I was concerned because the Indian sitar had become my main instrument, and I feared I had abandoned the guitar, my first instrument, after decades of effort invested in it. I was looking at this DVD at home, and after Hendrix performance, I realized that my destiny lay with the sitar. Because Hendrix had already done all that could be done with the electric guitar. I would forever be under his shadow.

We should be grateful that a Hendrix once walked the earth. With all due respect to Beck, Reid, Vai, and others when we speak of the realm of heavily amplified electric guitar, in the end, there is only Hendrix.
There will never be another like him.

The concert is legendary, but the DVD package fall short of definitive.

Here is what you get:
This DVD contains 10 full length songs from Hendrixs Woodstock concert, namely: "Fire", "Izabella", "Red House", "Jam Back at the House", "Voodoo Child", "Star Spangled Banner", "Purple Haze", "Woodstock Improvisation", and "Villanova Junction." A small segment of, "Message to Love" and, "Hear My Train a Comin" is played over the opening and closing credits respectfully.

Here is what you dont get:
1. There is no fotage of Hendrix playing six songs from the concert, namely: "Message to Love", "Spanish Castle Magic", "Lover Man", "Hear My Train a Comin", "Foxey Lady", and "Hey Joe."
2. The set list song order has been rearranged. This is unfortunate because there was a natural flow of momentum with the original song order. The concert started off loose and Jamming, then it tightened and rocked in the middle of the set, the climax being, "Star Spangled Banner." At the end of the original set list Jimi calms the mood down with, "Villanova Junction." For some odd reason Alan Douglas enjoys reconfiguring Jimis set lists, his trademark is to start all concerts with, "Fire", Jimi NEVER opened with this song.
3. The picture has not been cleaned up. Although the image quality is very good it would be nice to see a widescreen version of this concert. The Woodstock movie is now available on DVD widescreen so why not this concert?
4. The original audio mix was used on this DVD. The two percussionists are inaudible and Jimi is mixed right up front.
5. There are no DVD extras, no interviews, no 5.1 mix, nothing.
6. There is NO BOOKLET contained in the DVD package. A booklet might answer some questions about the missing songs and the audio mix. Maybe the percussionists were not recorded to audio tape? Maybe some of the songs were not filmed? Maybe the original negative has been damaged or lost? Maybe the original muli-track audio tape has been lost? A small booklet with the history of this concert and DVD release could answer these questions.

While many have seen snippets of the Woodstock film, this video goes above and beyond being simply a "concert film". It features a well designed and played out story of Hendrixs appearance at Woodstock with the crowning moment of the technicolor footage of the Woodstock performance. It definitely gives you a good feel of what it was like to have "been there".

This video along with Jimi Plays Berkeley are among my favorites. Highly recommended if youre a Hendrix fan.

This dvd is simply superb. Watch him in amazement, you will see that all other guitarists come in second. He has no peers. The sound amazes for something recorded in the 60s, not quite the same standards as those recorded these days but great none the less. If you are a music fan of the era its a must.

If you are a Hendrix fan or just a fan of the Woodstock event from the sixtes, this is a must have.
There are 2 DVDx with this package.

There is a tremendous amount of footage. The audio is excellent.
The movie is shot right at the stage level. The focus is Jimi,his current band and the lucky but tired looking people that were allowed on stage.
Note: is is important that you read the reviewers statments on how they put the footage together. Not an easy task. But it works!

A little goes a long way. Just a little dust in the corners and along the baseboard did away with roaches and ants in my place in a few days.

Sprinkle a little of this around your door, behind your stove and fridge, behind the couch, etc. As long as its dry and doesnt get damp or vacuumed up, it keeps working. Its the absolute best for getting rid of the roaches. They hate the stuff, and it will kill an entire colony because they get it on them, then transfer it to the others.

My great grand parents, grandparents, parents, and I use boric acid. Anytime we start seeing roaches we dust a little around and they are gone! When I say we dust a little, I mean a little. Hold the bottle sideways, shake the powder up so its at the nozzle but not clogging it up, and squeeze the bottle. If you got the powder in the right place, it will poof and billow out in a little cloud. Thats all you need. A liter-size bottle of this stuff can last a lifetime! Youll never again call the exterminator because of roaches!

I have a hiatal hernia that causes acid reflux. I had been sleeping with a bunch of blankets between my mattress and box spring, which wasnt very effective. I ordered this wedge pillow based on the positive reviews and Im pleased with it. Ive been sleeping on it for about two weeks now and I find that Im not waking up as much during the night now and Im feeling well-rested in the morning.

Im a side sleeper, so it was a little awkward getting used to this pillow. THe first night I tried it with my bed pillow and the two together were too high. My neck and shoulders were sore the next day. The next night, I tried just the wedge pillow, but that was too flat for me. The third night I used a smaller pillow with the wedge and that combination seems to work for me. Ive been waking up without an irritated throat for the first time in years!

I do tend to slide down a little during the course of the night. Even when Im further down on the pillow, Im still elevated more than I was with the blankets under my mattress, so Im happy! The MedSlant wedge pillow has definitely helped to improve my acid reflux.

I got the pillow couple of weeks ago. Took me couple of days to get used to it. It really helps with my reflux. The problem is I slide down, so i wake up couple of times and adjust myself. I wish the pillow would have been more wider and longer.

When I was diagnosed with GERD, my doctor gave me several recommendations, including lifting the head of my bed (or lowering the feet...). Rather than monkeying with the furniture, I opted to try out a slanted pillow. Research led me to pick out the MedSlant. The product is just fine - however, since this product is OIL - it should be checked well before shipping to make sure the screw top is tight enough to keep the oil inside the bottle. The box arrived with oil throughout - needed a major wipe down to set the bottle out for use.

I have two dogs, one of which scratches for no apparent reason. No fleas, maybe some type of skin irritation? So I get a monster bottle of this fish oil. The dog that doesnt have a scratching problem just loves this stuff - would drink it out of the bottle if possible. The itchy little dog has no interest in it, but will reluctantly eat food with some oil dripped on it.

I have now used up the bottle. The results? I tried, I really, really tried, but I could not tell any difference in the dogs after three months of twice daily servings of this oil. Coats looked no better or worse. Itchy dog is still itchy. Other dog wonders what happened to the tasty stuff.

About the only positive thing I can say is since the oil ran out, they no longer have fish breath.
